It is important that bidders make themselves aware of the following. Do not bid if you are not prepared to comply fully with the terms and conditions for this auction.

Purchaser

1. The purchaser is to be the highest bidder. Any dispute arising as to the highest bidder will be determined by E-bid who may re-offer any disputed lot. All purchasers must provide his or her full name, address, phone number and email address.

Internet Auction

2. E-bid shall regulate all bidding. Bid increments are listed at www.ebid.com.au/fees.asp. Bids will not be accepted below the start price.

3. E-bid reserves the right to (a) refuse any bid, (b) bid on behalf of clients. While every care and attention is taken in executing bids and written instructions, E-bid regrets that he cannot accept responsibility for any errors.

4. E-bid shall not be liable for any default of the Purchaser or Vendor.

Disputes

5. In the event of any dispute, E-bid shall have sole discretion to resolve the dispute and may re-offer the disputed lot.

Reserve and Estimate Prices

6. All lots have start prices and estimates specified e.g. $56–$75. The lower figure is the RBA’s start price and bids below this will not be accepted. The higher figure is the estimate of a fair market price.

Buyer’s Premium

7. An 11% buyer’s premium (including GST) will be added to the hammer price of each lot and is payable by ALL buyers, with a minimum Buyer’s Premium charge of $2.20 (including GST) per lot.

Bidder Details

8. All bidders must register and supply information required by E-bid Internet Auctions before bidding. To register go to www.ebid.com.au/register.asp.

Agents Bidding

9. Agents bidding on behalf of disclosed and undisclosed clients do so on their own responsibility both for payment and safe delivery of the lots.

Payment Terms

10. Title of purchased lots shall not pass until the purchase price and buyer’s expenses are paid in full with cleared funds in Australian Dollars. We accept Cash, EFTPOS, Electronic Funds Transfer, Bank or Personal Cheque and Credit Card (subject to surcharge).  We do not accept Paypal.  Overseas buyers not using credit card facilities will be required to add AUD $20 to payments to cover bank charges; this will appear on the buyer’s invoice.

Purchaser Responsibilities

11. The buyer of each lot is to be responsible for it from the time it is “knocked down”. Payment is to be made in full with cleared funds before delivery or collection. The lot(s) are to be paid for by Australian buyers within two days of receiving the invoice, and by overseas buyers within seven days of receiving the invoice. A service charge of 2% per month will be added to all overdue accounts. Failure to pay in full within the specified time also entitles the Auctioneer to re-sell the lots, with any resulting defi ciency being made good by the defaulter.

Delivery/Collection of Lots

12. All lots will be sent using Registered Mail with Australia Post soon after completion of the auction. No lots will be delivered to buyers without payment in full. Lots purchased on behalf of postal bidders will be fowarded, fully insured, by the most practical method at the risk of the purchaser who shall bear all costs incurred. No lots will be delivered during the Auction.

GST

13. Other charges associated with delivery of lots (postage, freight, packing & handling, insurance) are also subject to 10% GST where applicable. This is payable by ALL buyers. All lots offered in this sale are taxable and all prices quoted in the catalogue are GST inclusive. All bids are inclusive of GST. Overseas buyers on Proof of Export will be eligible for refund of the GST paid on the hammer price of lots purchased.
